So.... Whats up?

Journal Entry: Wed Dec 9, 2009, 3:14 AM

Hmm, where to start.
I'm limping? Feel free to call me hop-along-Cassidy.
I was going to walk to the store, its about a 3km walk and we'd just left the house. I stopped to take photos of some flowers with my phone. I put my phone away and turned to say something, when my ankle twisted out under me on the slant of the pavement.
I fell and tried to catch myself with my hands only to have my wrist twist out on me too.
Ouch... yes that sums it up. Stupid sums it up better
Now my left foot is roughly twice the size and all purple and blue. Meh... I'll live it will heal.

But my timing sucks *laughs* I'm moving Sunday. YAY can you believe it, moving day is nigh.
I cant believe its that time already.

I've been keeping up with the dfc and its been fun. The only problem with the DFC is that it tends to draw the Haters out the cesspools they reside in.
I said I wouldn't ever rant in my journal so we'll call this an observation, shall we?
These people have nothing in their sad miserable lives worth being proud of, so they bring there tactless, overcritical, totally-lacking-in-any-form-of-diplomacy, venom to us.
Instead of saying something in a way that would cause the least amount of offense they go out to do the opposite.
Simply because they have to put you down so they can feel they are a worthy human being.

My solution-- "You aren't getting my attention sweet-cheeks." -- I simply ignore them.

I hope the rest of the mere mortals (like me) who are trying to better themselves by doing the challenge will do the same.

That said I hope everyone is having a great December.
I'm seriously going to enjoy it.
This weekend the move
the 23rd is my Birthday *YaY*
the 24 my family and my cousin are having a Christmas eve thing.
and then Christmas day
wohooo so much fun.

SO......
I'm going to end of the journal with Much love to you all.
You are all wonderful and valuable to me and I treasure each and every one of you

Love, hugs and kisses

Gen.

to Savour + Dedication + DFC

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 25, 2009, 3:54 AM

To Savour.

Okay, so I’m weird. (the peanut gallery can keep their comments to themselves. =P) My eccentricity is something I freely admit to, and proudly defend.
Hell, I’m an artist, and a writer, weird is a requirement.
But my currents spate of weirdness is strange even for the weirdo that is Genevieve.
I’ll state is simply.
I like to Savour.
(what utter bull-bollocks is she on about now?)
Well, I got my tablet, (Yay!) But instead on ripping open the box and installing and plugging in and heading into a blissful few hours maniping till my heart pumps chocolate…
– I’ve left it in the box.
I will wait till after the move to my moms on the 13th and once everything is unpacked and I’m all organized then I’ll open up my tablet and enjoy.
Till then I’ll savour the idea.

There… See, I told you I’m weird.

Welcome everyone, to the new account for the December Form Challenge! Last year was massive, and it would be fantastic if we could have a repeat. DFC is going to be a bit different this year, but I hope the changes made make you all excited and ready to take part in another challenging month of poetic inspiration :D The coordinators for this year event are =kiwi-damnation a.k.a Sammy, *IrrevocableFate a.k.a Steph and =Renegade-Angel23 a.k.a Gen :P Let's make this AWESOME!

For anyone new to DFC, it was a challenge that spanned the whole month of December where poets were asked to write a poem each day using the form listed for that day. It was fantastic and there was a lot of poetry created. When it finished there were around 1200 pieces created for it. I'd love to see that amount of work this time around.

This year we are going to work off prompts for each day, and the reason for this was because some days of last year's event were too hard as we ran out of ideas to write about. So a prompt list has been created and THIS is what we are adhering to as a group.

The prompts were found and collaborated by none other than the magnificent =Renegade-Angel23. She is awesome :)

Our prompt list is as follows:

Prompt list for the December Form Challenge 2009 by =Renegade-Angel23

The point is to use the prompt but twist it and make it fit
what you want to write about.
(the challenge is duel, both the form and the use of imagination with the prompt)

Dec 1 - Gone Fishing
Dec 2 - Archangel
Dec 3 - To Beguile with Words
Dec 4 - I put a spell on you
Dec 5 - Breathe
Dec 6 - Fidelity
Dec 7 - Anger
Dec 8 - Insubstantial
Dec 9 - Osmosis
Dec 10 - Celebrity
Dec 11 - Insatiable
Dec 12 - Demented
Dec 13 - Emote
Dec 14 - And Nero Fiddled
Dec 15 - Mystery
Dec 16 - Thunder Rolled
Dec 17 - Love Autopsy
Dec 18 - Full Moon
Dec 19 - Beneath the skin
Dec 20 - Light and Shadow
Dec 21 - One, two, three, four.
Dec 22 - Set adrift on memory bliss
Dec 23 - Lyric
Dec 24 - The Surface of the Sun
Dec 25 - Cast away
Dec 26 - Proudly …… (fill in the blank and write)
Dec 27 - I don’t know
Dec 28 - Grace
Dec 29 - The Dance
Dec 30 - Forbidden
Dec 31 - Unforgiving.

So you see there is a prompt a day. If you are wondering where the forms come in, I will tell you right now.

The Forms of DFC '09

The form part of the challenge is different this year in that we are not setting specific forms for each day of December. This is because there are people who are absolutely insane with their fixed form torture regimens and people who haven't really touched fixed form at all before. To make sure that everyone is being challenged at their individual levels, I have created a list of 62 forms, which encompasses forms from many different nationalities and a variety of difficulty levels. With this list you are to choose your form for each day.

That doesn't mean you can do 31 sonnets and say you have completed DFC. Each form can only be used once. That way we are still doing a different form for each day, just with a lot more flexibility :)

[link] is the form list and everything else you want to know regarding DFC!

So to recap:

:bulletblue: DFC begins on the 1st of December 2009 at 12am GMT and ends this time again on the 1st of January 2010.

:bulletblue: Stick to the prompt provided for that day.

:bulletblue: Choose a form from the chart/list provided for you.

:bulletblue: You can only choose each form once.

:bulletblue: Like last year, you have 24 hours to complete each piece.

:bulletblue: To be added to the list of participants featured =kiwi-damnation's journal, you must note ~ProjectDFC to say you are participating.

:bulletblue: Any piece submitted to dA as a part of the challenge should have a link to ~ProjectDFC account or =kiwi-damnation's account, or you can link the news articles.

:bulletblue: Please also mention in your artist's comments which form you are doing, so people know.

:bulletblue: Fun is something we are aiming for and cultivating more skill in poetry. Please enjoy and relish the challenge, it only comes around once a year :).
